Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

However, abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Please keep discussions civil. If you are not prepared to behave appropiately, please don't register. Friendly banter between rival clubs is encouraged, personal abuse towards other members will result in a permanent ban.

It will be a cracking game Nightmare, probably the two best sides in S.Yorkshire this season meeting here. Rovers are producing some sublime football at times recently though, better than earlier in the season. Enjoy.

Are the Police always so heavy handed in Barnsley when supporters turn up or is it just us, the advice about not been allowed to drink in the town centre is what i really mean, when any group of supporters including Barnsley have come to Doncaster there have been no restrictions imposed on them, strange as its the same Police force.. scratch

Bloody hell that's your first mistake of the weekend Barnsley scum are nothing like the rest of the SYP .
There animals if you have the miss fortune to come in contact with these tuppences do as they say or you'll end up black and blue there is no reasoning with them they tell you once then start swinging the stick even if there telling you to walk miles out of your way just do it wile you can still walk, and don't let the fact the majority of scumers you'll see are female cloud your judgement there total bastards and wont think twice at hitting you with the stick, also there not sat on that horse so they can see all round, there on it because its a weapon and there's nothing they like more then using it to trap people against the bridge on the way back to the Train station. i stopped drinking in town a wile ago due to there heavy handed tactics

Bentley bullet has been at it again:

I've had a dream 55 Minutes ago
Dead vivid it was. I was in the doctor’s waiting room sucking a fisherman’s friend when my name was called out.
“What’s the problem?” enquired the doctor.
“Nowt really doc, but I’ve got a bit of a sore throat and I’m off to Barnsley on Saturday and I’m expecting quite a vocal time.”
“I really don’t know why you people put yourselves through such trauma, aren’t there safer places to go to carry out your desire for missionary work?” Asked the doc.
“I’m not going there to do missionary work, although I might take the odd food parcel for bargaining purposes to stave off risk of attack. I’m going to see the mighty Rovers play there.”
“Oh I see, said the doctor, so it’s just a matter of the inoculations, and some throat tablets then.”......
Next thing I was there, witnessing a fabulous Rovers display. Hayter opened the scoring after 12 minutes. Barnsley equalised soon after. Sharp made it 2-1 on 36 mins.
HT 1-2
Hayter made it 3-1 on 51 mins. Sharp made it 4-1 in the 66th. Hayter completed his hat-trick on 77 minutes.
Can’t recollect much detail, but it was a resounding victory, and Rovers avenged last season fluke result.
