Help for Heroes
Game is this saturday at the keepmoat stadium, very apt given the sad news that a Doncaster soldier lost his life on saturday.

A Minuites silence is to be Held prior to tommorows match to show a mark of respect Liam Maughan who was tragically killed in Afghanistan recently.

God rest his soul, I hope we help make his family proud tomorrow. Time we stopped sending our young lads and lasses out there.

Yeah it is,they are very very brave however they know what they are jumping into and it is plain stupidity.
I admire there bravery but they are too brave imo, they are walking straight into trouble and stare death in the eye.
It really is a gamble those people are taking and they are staring death straight into the eye.

Re: Help for Heroes
Got to say although i was dissapointed that the crowd decided to applause instead of carry out the minuites silence, i am ready to admit it that the words said by the announcer about Liam were very moving and brought a lump to my throat, and also seeing Ben lead the soldiers around the ground in his wheel chair made me feel so proud of them and what they are doing for the country God bless them all..

Quite a few around me were in tears, this subject is a very emotive one and I feel that our soldiers are almost my family . Not trying to be contrary but the applause takes far more effort than the silence and it was also to thank the lads parading around the ground. Both sets of supporters were superb .

A great reception and so deserved, shame my laptop can't continuously play the sound.
