Had a cracking day and raised over £300 for help the heroes and the PC David Rathband blue lamp appeal...the people of Thorne have once again shown their generosity to two very worthwhile causes...hopefully there will be a picture in this weeks free press...

This is what the group should be about raising money to go to good causes and get a little bit of good publicity along the way...

Yeah, one lady just emptied her purse into the collecting bucket...that showed that people care..and the people who bought tombola tickets and said they just wanted to give, it was very moving really..the lady who spoke on the tannoy to wish her 20 year old son who is in the Royal Marines a happy birthday, she said it was special becauce she never knows if it will be his last...all the people who gripe about football et al really shows there are far more important things that concern people in there everyday life, Ben parkinson no legs and brain damaged but still puts in the time and effort to raise money for his comrades...really does make you proud to be British a spirit that the eurocrats and politically correct parasites that are trying there best to destroy in this country will never change...

I know it wasn't - I work with the kid in question.
Don't know if he is a Leeds fan, he's a rugby player but the kid he was with is definitely NOT a Leeds fan. I went to school with his dad and he's a Liverpool fan with Rovers as his 2nd team. The kid's been to loads of Rovers games
