Story doing the rounds in Teesside is he wont play again for Boro so we dont have to pay pompey a million quid as final part of deal to sign him. kicks in at 100 games and he is on 99. Supposed to be wanting a move anyway at end of season so maybe good business to keep the money in the bank.

Sounds like Lamby and Gibbo getting tough at last. What would be the point in playing him again this season and letting go of 1m if he has no intention of playing for Boro next season?

too right, rather us keep it and using the cash to sign a player that wants to play for us
