Glad to see the back of him and as a Liberal delighted with the way they have negotiated a superb result that has finally refected my years of apparently wasted votes.
I really hope it works.

I trust Bates more than Cameron, he only talks a good game and that Clegg lad made him look a muppet in the 5 miniute of those election things i watched
Just wants to make the rich richer and the poor poorer. If he told me grass was green id have to take a walk to park to check

Re: Gordon leaving the Palace
Folk were getting mightily pissed off with Clegg but he had to be seen by his party to explore every option (incl. Labour). His negotiation team must have been top notch to achieve that result , however if it doesn't succeed both these parties will struggle at the next election.
If they succeed, you can say goodbye to Labour for a generation, the Con-Lib/Dem. coalition now represents 60% of the voters. One of the biggest mandates in history (only bettered by the Liberals themselves in the 1800's). They can't afford failure or the breaking of ranks from either parties left/right ''hard-liners''.
Best of all for me is the dilution of excessively ''right wing'' policies, which will help Cameron function as a leader but still allow him a degree of flexibility to be ''tough'' as he will need to be under the current climate.
I hope it succeeds and brings us to a new fresher type of politics during these hard times ahead.

LeedsLad I think you will be found to be profoundly wrong in your rash and unjustified assessment , especially for the reasons I have laid out above.

I think we have got to get real and stop pretending that New Labour was the workers friend, he was the lazy bastards friend and to fund them he taxed the working man to death, glad to see the back of him and his ilk.
