The Yorkshire Football Forums
Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

However, abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Please keep discussions civil. If you are not prepared to behave appropiately, please don't register. Friendly banter between rival clubs is encouraged, personal abuse towards other members will result in a permanent ban.

THANK YOU for visiting THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE and we hope to see you posting here in the future.

off to leeds in just over a hour to see the other great Yorkshire love of my life.. lol..

So thats Saturday... snuggles and Ilkley moor

Sunday snuggles and where ever

Monday sunggles and where ever

and Tuesday snuggles then as usual floods of tears on leeds railway station... I truly hate going back to Norfolk

Plus lots of phone calls home to my poor mummy who did a dive that lewis Guy would have been proud of on tuesday leaving her with a smashed wrist.. and an ongoing stay in hospital bless her.

Cocked up really, didnt think till the day before yesterday, should have got a cheaper hotel and had an extra day stopping off in Donny for the game tuesday... durrrr....

Sunday -- get home 7:20am mug of tea toast cuddle up to the Mrs. and sleep as long as possible. Might not be long because the local football pitch is at the end of the garden. Smile

Anything. I'm 17 and have practically no experience, so it's a bit difficult.

Have you been onto your JobCentre or Connexions for help?
Sadly not a lot of jobs about in some areas. Which area are you Sheffield? I will keep my eyes open at work when doing searches.(Jobshop)
or ring 0845 60 60 234 and ask for a job search for your post code.

Thanks a lot for the part in bold.

Yeah Sheffield, i've barely been off the Job Centre website. I've also tried all the agencies and job websites, applying for about 10 (usually office) jobs every day. The odd few I hear from say i'm not experienced enough.

I would go to connexions but they'll just say that I should be going to college, which I should, but unfortunately I don't want too at the moment.

I have an interview for McDonalds next week, so if I get that it will either give me some experience to get something better in the future, or make a decent career there, or I could always go back to college and finish my A levels at a later date.

I'm still only 17 so luckily I still have options.

Thanks for the advice.

You may have checked it already, but when I was a student, like yourself with not much work experience, I found Gumtree really handy, as well as permanent jobs they advertise loads of short term jobs (even 1 day, or 1 week stuff), handy to get some experience under your belt and few quid in your pocket until you find something permanent.
