Sheffield Utd away
I think all has been said that can be said about last night, a much more important game is coming up where as well as 3 points which are so desperatly needed there is pride at stake, I really am praying that Shackle is fit and that o connor gets a start replacing Chambers who was not at his best to put it nicely last night, other players that should feature more are fairhurst and heffs especially if Billy does not start which i hope he does, imagine the reaction if he was to score against the Blades, i would drop Hayter as he had a bad game and is maybe not quite ready for a first team start after his recent injury, hopefully they will continue to play hoofball and if we can play like we know we can then that will be too much for them, think it could go a number of ways this one, we will win by a single goal or we will get an hammering, lets hope its not the latter as a win here will set us up for the Dingles who are next up.

Can Sharp play against United?
Just don't give them three goals and you'll be alright.

Sharp can play. There is nothing in the contract to say he can't. Direct from JR via Radio Dee Dah last night, and when Blackwell loaned him out he was asked and he said there was no reason why not. I reckon that confirms his starting place.

Hes got to play, and something tells me he will play a big part in the final result , a win for Rovers, just keep your shirt on Billy we don't want you giving the Blades sleepless nights like the Scummy fans

Unlike the Owls , we won't be giving them a 3 goal start believe me, if Copps and O'Connor fit for this game then they will have a game on their hands. Nice to see O'Connor given all that time last night to sharpen up on his competitive match fitness.East Yorks Rover wrote:Sharp can play. There is nothing in the contract to say he can't. Why put JO'C on the pitch for such a short time.......it beggars belief sometimes the tactical substitutions we employ, we seriously need to reconsider whether we go back to having a proper Reserve team to allow our injured players the opportunity to regain 'full' 90 minute match fitness.
It appears that the current set-up is not working i.e. little 3X30 minute kickabouts, our injuries and time scales for injuries seem to reflect this cost-saving weakness in our procedures.

Re: Sheffield Utd away
I agree - we need a reserve team, not just for players coming back from injury but for those on the fringes... 3x30 mins "friendly" isn't going to exactly inspire
And I'd rather play O'Connor for 80 mins then sub than the reverse - he played in one of the 'friendlies' so start him now... I like Chambers but you can go off people
