Big changers to the forum
One of our new members as said this
IMO, there are too many subforums.
Eg; In each division there is then another sub forum for each club. It would be better if there was just a Premeir League, Championship, L1 and L2 forum. Then every one sees all the threads without going into other sub forums. It means more traffic is seeing the threads and thus there is a greater chance of higher replies. Eg 2; There is also a General Forum, and a current affird forum (I think) Just merge the two, keeps the whole place tidier and means more traffic seeing threads in one place.
You may disagree with me though, but I think that would make the place better.

Re: Big changers to the forum
Sorry I too like the idea of sub forums it's like the 2 Manc teams playing at the same ground otherwise.
It would certainly be a wrong move imo. The forum is growing so why pack everybody together. All the fun is just that skipping from one to another. What about the Mods in place , would you run with them as well ?

Re: Big changers to the forum
Correct in my opinion we have too many inactive sections which make the forum look untidy and not as busy as we actually are i know people who im trying to get to signup say it looks too inactive and theirs only a small knit community.

Re: Big changers to the forum
The problem is too many people start threads like this
Look at this
Can't believe we are after him
pissed off with the way we played
stoke away
just reading that in a forum for all teams could have been posted by a fan of any club some people only want to read about one or two clubs and i for one would get pissed of with opening threads to find out its a bout a club i don't give a toss about
so for me i say he wrong

Re: Big changers to the forum
We could consolidate all other footy into 1 forum and leave the sub-fora in place.
Incidentally if some don't see many posts on some sections .............it's because they themselves are not joining in ffs!
Get involved please Guests and others then it won't look like a 'closed' club which btw it definitely isn't!
Try going onto any club's dedicated forum and you will always find the ''I'm more equal than you, I've posted more times than you, I've supported this club longer than you'' mentality. I can honestly say that I have never seen any signs of that on here............EVER .
Jump on board a few more of you then some of us can take more of a back seat . This is everybody's forum to use on an equal basis , in a reasonable manner, free from over-policing.
Jeez what more could folk want ?

Re: Big changers to the forum
I think we've got to keep the league/team subforums they are what helps to make it unique, however we could look at merging some of the more general ones i.e general and current affairs etc

Re: Big changers to the forum
interesting debate
Just so you know where i stand, i think the sub forum for each club must stay because i feel it gives each team a sense of belonging, and its nice to have your own space at times, you always know what team your about to read about before you open the post, plus its easyer to keep a eye on for admin and mods, but that's not the final say on the matter i will always listen to what members want and if a good amount of users want it changed then it will be changed. This is your forum not mine it belongs to us all and if changes need to be made we will decide together . i set this place up so people can have there say on anything they want and this is no different
Right then ive took on board what as been said, and got rid of a few forums and meraged a few too
