Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

The Yorkshire Wildlife park is trying to raise funds to rescue a group of lions from a Rundown zoo in Romania, the conditions these Beautiful animals are currently living in are really appalling, they are trying to raise 150K to get the lions back to the Park in Doncaster, they have already raised about 115K so are almost there, the alternative is to have these magnificent beasts destroyed, hopefully they will be here by the year end, will be great to go along and see them once there here.

Decided to visit the Yorkshire Wildlife park today and was pleasantly surprised, really well laid out and for anyone with Kids i would say go and have a look , the Meerkats and other animals are all in the open and not behind perspex Screens like some zoos, you are able to touch some of the animals like the wallabys, its still early days and there are plans for expansion, really enjoyed it .

The earth centre was shite all about enviromental stuff, good intentions but boring as hell , still think the airport will be ok, as for the wildlife park go and have a look, i think you will be impressed, once they get some large animals like the lions there it will be pretty impressive. Only £25 that looks like good value for money, especially if they get the pride of lions. Did you manage to chat to anybody about how they were doing ? Smile

Plus they seem to be building new areas in various places so hopefully there will be other animals

I'll be honest the novelty is how close you can get to the animals - we've been to Dublin Zoo a couple of times and obviously its much larger but you don't get close to anything - all the animals are behind perspex (OK if its a Lion then thats fair enough) The wallabies were so tame, one just sat there and invited everyone to come and pet him lol!
