Re: Lion Rescue
In the Free Press this week that the Park have raised enough money to put plans into action to get these Lions brought over to the Yorkshire Wildlife Park in Doncaster, looks like they will be here in the newyear, great news.

Ahh bless the animals. They all looked a bit unsure of that funny white stuff I hope the lions won't mind a bit of snow!

Re: Lion Rescue
In the Free press today, the Lions will be transported to the Yorkshire wildlife park in Doncaster today to have a better life, aged from 15 months to 27 years ,the Public should hopefully be able to see them at easter after they have gone through the Quarantine process, at least we can say we now have the Pride of Yorkshire in Doncaster..

Fantastic news .....Lion Man. However the Pride of Yorkshire already play at the KMS, we will have two come Easter, an embarassment of riches eh ?

It does seem unfair that Doncaster has so much while the rest of the county have so little, i suppose it is a burden that we will have to bear..

I'm well pleased to hear they are on their way. It'll be good that people will be able to go see them soon. It's definitely a boost for the summer.

Anybody watch the Documentary on BBC1 tonight about bringing the lions to Doncaster, the conditions these animals were kept in was appalling, its good to think they will have a better life over here..

I was surprised how large there enclosure is going to be, they said that it is larger then the entire zoo in Rumania, puts it into perspective just how bad the conditions were at there former home.
