The Yorkshire Football Forums
Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

However, abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Please keep discussions civil. If you are not prepared to behave appropiately, please don't register. Friendly banter between rival clubs is encouraged, personal abuse towards other members will result in a permanent ban.

Some sections of this forum are restricted to members, so to enjoy the full benefits of the site please register. Registered users also enjoy this website without the advertisements at the top of the page.

THANK YOU for visiting THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE and we hope to see you posting here in the future.

Preston set to sign Barnsley striker Iain Hume on loan

Preston are set to sign Barnsley striker Iain Hume on a three-month loan deal, with a view to a permanent move.
Preston boss Darren Ferguson revealed after Tuesday's 2-1 loss to Nottingham Forest that a deal for the ex-Leicester forward was almost complete.
"I'm going to sign Iain Hume, subject to a medical, on Friday in a 93-day loan deal with a view to a permanent deal," said Ferguson.
"He's got experience in the league, he can score goals in this league."
Ferguson added: "He can play right wing, left wing and up front. He's a good player."
Hume joined Barnsley in 2008 but has netted just nine times in 55 appearances after struggling to get a regular run in the side.

I'd rather not... Really, why does everyone seem to think he'll be good for us? The only reason I can find is that he's fit the system, But that's it really :/ .....................

Liam Dickinson fits the system too btw.

I'm not a huge fan of Jon Parkin...... but he demonstrated a decent touch for such a big man the other day against Preston!.....Dickinson on the other hand......couldn't trap a medicine ball!

Either way....O'Connor is way better!
