Dead Leg
I have a terrible dead leg and have had it since about 4 this afternoon and it has just reached a point where i cannot move it,my right leg.
I am laid up in bed with it and i am beggining to panic as im due to make my first start in 5 and a half month for my sunday leauge team after lots of physio for my back and achilles tendon, will i be fit to play ?
Its AGONY,is there any quick fix to it ?

Re: Dead Leg
all i can suggest is Rest Ice (bag of peas 'll do) Compression and Elevation
was it from an impact that gave you it?

Re: Dead Leg
no worries
only have the ice for about 15 miniutes and try to repeat in about 2 hours if you're still up
this int really a quick way to fix it but hopefully does enough for ya by the morning

Re: Dead Leg
Played 7 miniutes and came off with my knee playing up,the peas solved the dead leg but i felt my knee go when i was warming up and i had to come off.
Credit to the men working on the pitch though, they kept it in fantastic shape considering.
Anyway back to the drawing board, when i was 8 i had a operation on this knee and with it showing the symptons of returning, booked in for hospital on thursday anyway for the check up !

Re: Dead Leg
is still hurting now mate? best thing to probably try and do is slowly get back into it, like at training just ask to pull out of anything too strenuous
streching your knee daily will help to strenghten it
hope ya ger it sorted mate

Yeah i did 3 years of physio for it and for the last 3 and a half year or so its been fine and i thought i had solved it then CRUNCH it goes again.
Very sore, spoke to my doctor over the phone who has ruled me out of school for a week and its bandaged up. After the operation when i was young i did not play for 1 year and a half so i hope it isnt my same knee problem but like the doctor said its highly likely...
Know more on thursday
