This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

However, abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Please keep discussions civil. If you are not prepared to behave appropiately, please don't register. Friendly banter between rival clubs is encouraged, personal abuse towards other members will result in a permanent ban.

With the English women getting through to the final of the European Championships to face Germany, should more money be given to the women's side of the game to help further promote playing football amongst the fairer sex? And should the top female players be given contracts large enough so that playing footie is a full-time job?

Yep I really hope they win, we have been struggling to keep our local club 'Doncaster Belles' going for a couple of years. It was until the last 4/5 years the best known ladies club in Britain and have supplied more International players to the England squad than any other team.
Really hope that what has been put in place for them will help them survive. Sad Sad

Not like they were Trannie, the Premiership Ladies team have far more in terms of financial support and now the better players. A few years ago if you aspired to be a 'top' Eoropean female footballer there was only one place to look..........times have changed.

They played like a load of girls lol!

they were outplayed but have nothing to be ashamed of.Germany were a good team and will probably rule womens football for the forseeable future.

well, from whats been said (and the bits i have seen), 6-2 was about as justified as us getting arseholed 5-1 by tottenham....germany's finishing was awesome.

our lasses have nothing to be ashamed of though, germany have won it 5 times in a row i think now....something like that.

regarding money, i do think more should be invest into womens football...why not, i'm even thinking about starting going and watching the belles to give a bit more cash their way, every little helps and all that.
