Re: Derby next up...
What the managers said
Rovers assistant boss Richard O'Kelly stepped up to face the press after last night's win at Derby County, and praised leading scorer Billy Sharp, who bagged his 15th goal of the season three minutes after the second half, and shattered any Derby hopes of getting back into the game.
O'Kelly praised Sharp by saying: "Billy Sharp has scored two goals tonight but he brings so much more to the environment he's in, he brings an enthusiasm, he brings a desire and he drags others along with him. He doesn't take fools gladly, he wants to be successful and people get a buzz off what Billy does. Billy brings more to the table than just goals."
He continued: "The goal gave us a big lift, I thought Derby were the better side in the opening 25 minutes and our goalkeeper has probably pulled off a save that has won us the match. The rest of the defence showed good resilience during that time and the goal certainly helped because after that goal, it certainly gave us a lift."
"At half-time I would imagine Nigel would have said 'you're doing okay', because they were and they were creating opportunities, but we go out second half and get the second goal and it knocks the stuffing out of you."
Nigel Clough was highly critical of his players after yet another home defeat, with County yet to win at home in 2011. He said: "It was dispiriting from the moment the first goal went in. From that point onwards, we never recovered. Doncaster visibly gained confidence, and we went the other way. The confidence is very fragile at the moment, home or away, and even more so when you don't win games. Once we concede the first goal, especially at home at the moment, that becomes even more evident."
"At this stage, this is a low point of the season. We got what we believed to be a morale-boosting victory at Sheffield United on Saturday. We wanted to get a run going, even if it was only a draw, but we didn't deserve anything from the game."
"All the goals we conceded were massively disappointing, and they came as a bit of a shock because we had looked solid in the last week or two."

Certainly is, it was becoming scary although we all knew the reason for our slide down the table and that was injured players, we are slowly getting them back and with it our performances are improving...happy days are here again..

Yep another 6 points or so and we can put this 'unlucky' season behind us and relax.
