Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

However, abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Please keep discussions civil. If you are not prepared to behave appropiately, please don't register. Friendly banter between rival clubs is encouraged, personal abuse towards other members will result in a permanent ban.

Some sections of this forum are restricted to members, so to enjoy the full benefits of the site please register. Registered users also enjoy this website without the advertisements at the top of the page.

Got home around 12.00 from school. Just came in for the morning for photos and just a meet up. Never thought I would get emotional or be sad that I am leaving, but I actually am. Just added around 30 people on Facebook just to remember them. Never thought I would say this, but I'am going to miss every single one of them. Sad

I remember my last day at school like it was yesterday...alot of very good friends that i grew up with that i have never seen since that day...we didn't have mobile phones or facebook or twitter, it was very easy to lose touch and i did...good luck Shemmy its a dog eat dog world out there..

Cheers Yorkie. My brother gave me an apprenticeship letter earlier today, working at the Royal Mail fixing Machines. I might make a post about it just incase anybody wants to take it on. I wouldn't mind doing it but im already going to sixth form Laughing

As Yorkie said I left in 1974 and I still remember it vividly, I joined the forces within about 6 months after working down pit, however it took me nearly 30 years before I moved back to Donny, I had one hell of a time, but its great fun coming back and meeting old mates again, thinking as I see a young un walking down the street...I know that face for it to turn out it was the parents/grandparents you knew.......aye twitter, facebook, friends reunited bloody marvelous.

Shemmy all the best mate in wherever life takes you its now the start of a ruddy great adventure as Yorkie said its a dog eat dog world out there...look after number 1
