Yeovil 1-2 Washday

Just under 5000 there at Huish Park.

Wednesday started brightly, getting off the mark as new loan signing McGoldrick nodded in from 6 yards from a Marshall cross.

Yeovil levelled after Wednesday knocked the ball out of play due to an injury to a Yeovil player. Instead of giving the ball back Yeovil scored, Rob Jones clashing with O'Donnell in the process, and having to be replaced.

The Owls fell to pieces after that, and 8 minutes before half time Yeovil gained the lead, the ball slotted through for their striker to get his second.

In the second half, as usual, Wednesday came out the better team, Reda Johnson having 3 efforts cleared, before Bennett equalized from Marshall's corner.
O'Donnell saved the Owls after the equalizer, first tipping a header wide from former Owl Steve MacLean, and then keeping hold of a rasping 25 yard effort.
Just after the hour mark Wednesday got the lead back, Gary Madine getting his 6 or 7th of the season with the Owls 3rd header of the day.

Wednesday could have had more after that, Prutton going on a run and lashing a shot straight at the keeper, and Liam Palmer had the ball taken from his foot after a mazy dribble.

In the end, a good 3 points for the Owls, giving them their first Away victory since March. Video Highlights up later.
