Billy Sharp
Great to see him back, hope he came through the game unscathed, seemed ok when he left the ground..the game went up a gear when he came on and it was great to hear the crowd get behind him and the rest of the lads...hopefully he will be starting on tuesday night...things are finally starting to look a little better..

What a player he is....you can see the effect he has on the other players and the crowd when he comes on, lets hope Deano can sort out a new contract ...would not be the same without him..

'Electrifying' atmosphere considering the circumstances, it just shows how charismatic he can be on a footy pitch and that's been missing for the last 15-20 games .

Re: Billy Sharp
Talking about Billy , we were discussing it last night and wondered if sean kept players in the sick bay longer then need be to give him an excuse for the bad run of results we were on, was listening to Seans last interview and talking about Billy he said he was still a month away, that was only a few days ago and then yesterday Billy is not only sat on the bench but plays for 30 minuites...i would put money on it that he would not have played a part yesterday if Sod had been in charge..

Re: Billy Sharp
Speculative but I don't think so, I can't see what benefit this would give him if he was fighting for his own survival.
Surely he would have used all the tools at his disposal, he didn't seem like a man searching to apportion blame or seeking excuses at every turn.
Could it be that he may have lost the backing of some of the players and that they chose to 'hide' ? SO'D being SO'D would be far more likely to leave the decision whether a player was 100% ready to play to the players themselves and they elected not to fight for him. That would explain JR's 'about turn'.........he may have told him that he had lost the support of the players.
All speculation of course............................
