And you where told the company had to lower the wage bill, knowing your one of the best paid at the company, and there for one of the first out of the door, would you still turn up to work and put the same effort in or would you think fuck um

Well as you know NM i don't work. But the way you look at it is at least you still have a job, all be it a lower wage but a lot of people are out of work with no chance of getting a job cos theres none out there. So course you put the effort in, when things get better then you've shown loyalty so maybe they will and up your wage again.

I don't think the highest paid are necessarily the first out of the door........ more like the lowest except for footie but of course as has been said "we are all in it together" .................like frig we are. NR I did realise !!

from a personal point of view, i would work harder to make the management think they cannot do without me . alternative to that would be to reduce staff and bring in some cheaper labour .Oh hang on is it not that what were doing ?

Its got to affect the way you perform, especially as that person may not want to leave, not his fault he was signed on a high wage..if i was told my sevices were no longer required but told to hang on for a few weeks then my commitment would not be the same..just a fact of life i suppose..then again i suppose it would also be down to the way such a situation was handled in the first place..
