Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

However, abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Please keep discussions civil. If you are not prepared to behave appropiately, please don't register. Friendly banter between rival clubs is encouraged, personal abuse towards other members will result in a permanent ban.

THANK YOU for visiting THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE and we hope to see you posting here in the future.

Yeovil Town have made their second signing for today, with striker James Hayter arriving at Huish Park. The 33 year old has agreed a two year contract with the club after leaving Doncaster Rovers in the summer, after five years in Yorkshire.

His roots are decidedly more Southern England though. James was born in Sandown on the Isle of Wight on April 9th 1979, and is part of AFC Bournemouth's academy system, spending 11 years as a professional for the Cherries. During his early years he spent time out on loan with Salisbury City before becoming a Cherries regular.

He set the Football League's record for the fastest ever hat-trick, netting three goals in 140 seconds in a match against Wrexham, after coming on as an 84th minute substitute in the game, grabbing the match ball in a 3-0 win. Overall he made close to 400 appearances for Bournemouth between 1996 and 2007. Overall he scored 107 times for Bournemouth.

The summer of 2007 saw him clinch a £200,000 move to Doncaster Rovers, where he spent five years, making over 150 appearances for the Yorkshire side. Last season he played 33 times, scoring five goals for Doncaster - overall his tally gave him 39 goals.

At 5'9" tall, he is no target man, but he adds plenty of experience to the Glovers side and follows this morning's signing of Jamie McAllister from Bristol City.
