Now now, lets not get ahead of ourselves!!
This is a potential banana skin of a game... They've won their last 2 in the league (against 2 bottom 4 teams, mind) so they are no pushovers.
I'll take a draw for this one!

Are you paying up on the bet now?
Safely say we won't be getting relegated now can't we?

True it was a foul night but a good result from what was a pretty mediocre display overall.
Again we let the away team push us back continually......tonight we got away with it.

Re: Rovers v Oldham
I don't agree with that, thought they came for a draw and sat back. Can't remember woods making a save whereas we had 3 or 4 very good chances.
I hate stats but tonight we had 21 attempts at goal to their 9 and 11 corners to their 3
They certainly didn't push us back continually,
Anyhow another good win, and our home form is one of best In league now.
It's a funny old game saint

Sorry to disagree (once again), they surprised me and defended very well. Personally I was surprised at how for quite long periods they completely stifled us especially in midfield. Their keeper looked totally unruffled until the final quarter of the game but was finally caught out by some very quick thinking by Cotts ; after that it all went downhill from there for him. He was still feeling embarrassed/angry about the goal he needlessly conceeded and the night went downhill from thereon .......he saw red and finally got a red.
Agreed they came for a draw with a chance to perhaps snatch a goal but the game had 0-0 written all over it until that free kick. A good 3 points under the circumstances and 2nd. place. I'll take that thanks, it's just a shame that Hume got a red too........he played out of his skin all night.
21 shots maybe but how many of them were even close to scoring dickos ?

Can we call this an ugly win ? I think we can but we got the 3 points so no biggie I felt once the crowd started getting there voices heard it deffo spurred the players on oh and it was bloody freezing last night . But don't you just love looking at the table at the minute.

Re: Rovers v Oldham
Ok here's how it came across on player and the views of the commentators...
Oldham came for a draw and stifled us for most of the match. We sat too deep and struggled to break them down apart from a 10-15 minute spell where we created a few chances (2 cleared off the line) and also scored. Not the best of games to watch and apart from that short spell we were rather poor and performance was like most home games this season.
Also what happened to the 27-1 i predicted? Bloody rubbish rovers lol.

Re: Rovers v Oldham
It wasn't the best game, but it was an improved performance on previous home games other than scunny.
We had 2 cleared off the line, and browny missed a one on one, whereas woods didn't have a save to make that I can remember.
