The Yorkshire Football Forums
Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

However, abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Please keep discussions civil. If you are not prepared to behave appropiately, please don't register. Friendly banter between rival clubs is encouraged, personal abuse towards other members will result in a permanent ban.

THANK YOU for visiting THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE and we hope to see you posting here in the future.

Here's food for thought - if it is true that TB and DW can only put in the same as JR, and JR, say, didn't want to put any more money in (hence he was in strong favour of the SC takeover), then wouldn't TB and DW hands be tied?

Here's more food for thought - who's idea was it to bring in Mr McKay a couple of years ago, that totally messed things up for the season and could have had lasting damage if Saunders and Flynn hadn't performed somewhat of a miracle?

And seeing as though we mostly stating opinions and speculation here (not fact, Doncaster Free Press journos!) on here, IMO there other deal, which is very much still on the table, would be a better one for Rovers as it's not a takeover, and TB very much knows who the backer is, whereas no-one knows who is behind SC.

I don't know much more than that, but all I know is when someone sends a letter threatening to sue you and/or your organisation, before even trying to make contact with you or address any problems they may have, then you tend to assume the worse from the get go. For example, the VSC, it's members and directors, aren't going to think this is someone they look forward to dealing with in the future? Neutral

Fair does Bob, but you know a bit more than we do, most fans are working off the JR news feeds. If TB and co have something positive to say they should say it!

I understand mosts fans frustrations with the situation, but TB just doesn't seem to be the sort that says much in public, especially concerning issues of a particularly sensitive nature. In fact, he doesn't really say much in the public-eye at all, and just let's the club announce things.

That's fine cut and paste this for him.........
"Terry Bramhall would like Doncaster Rovers fans to know that he is currently working on the alternate offer which he mentioned at the last Directors meeting. an announcement will be made before the closure of the transfer Window."
My 'Consultancy Fee' is now £55K !!!

It's a strange situation when owners of the same company choose to 'deal with' different takeover/investment bids.
It strikes me that they almost find it impossible to communicate with each other and have entitely differing agendas concerning a company that they ALL run. Highly highly unusual in the extreme and on the surface very unprofessional way of going about things.
Time is running out for all of those involved and certainly the patience of the rank and file supporter of OUR club.

Get it sorted out JR, TB DW and GB FAST......................

Well now it's time to see how commited the owners are with Wabara playing his last game on Saturday with a contract offer on the table pending investment and JR publically saying last night that he was hoping to progress in the cup to sign Wellens.

Heard we will be keeping Wellens and Wabara for now at least but we are still 2/3 quality players short.
