after four years of mediocrity, We are taking steps in the right direction
Striker Kris Boyd the most prolific goalscorer in SPL history, admits that he is relishing a new challenge after revealing that he has agreed to join Middlesbrough on a reported two-year deal.
The Scotland international will join former Celtic manager Gordon Strachan at The Riverside following a summer of intense speculation since the 26-year-old confirmed plans to quit SPL champions Rangers at the end of last season.
The former Kilmarnock forward had recently been linked with several clubs in England, as well as lucrative offers from abroad.
He told the Sunday Mail: "I'm delighted to finally have my future sorted out.
"I've had a few offers to consider and it's been a case of talking to my family about the positives and negatives of each one.
"Middlesbrough have always been very appealing. Strachan has big plans and has made me feel wanted.
"I first met him in January and he impressed me at that meeting.
"Everything has just about been agreed and I will go through my medical today (Sunday) or tomorrow (Monday). I don't envisage any problems and I'm looking forward to starting my Boro career."
Jokes about our SPL connections aside, i'm actually fucking excited about this one, its actually on a frikken free as well, i'm happy the club, under Strachan is progressing away from the stupid big $$$ mistakes like Alves, or has been useless strikers like Bocsic............ all in time for me to come back to the UK, fuck i'm glad i missed the Southgate years!

with Boyd and Mcdonald together we only need to get a playmaker for them.
And some wood to board our goal up.
