So you keep saying, at the end of the day we are the only club to have put a bid in for him, the Burnley and Leeds stories are just that Stories, the Blades obviously want a bidding war to start but it aint and we would probably sign someome else like Garner before ever getting into a bidding war.

Don't really care to be honest now keeps dragging on long enough can not see him going leeds as they are wanting players for free. And how can you be sure NIGHTMARE do you speak to Billy how do you know what he wants the club can accept a bid does not mean he has to accept the offer like in the Jan transfer window he turned down a offer when the blades accepted it

exactly Pete, there is just no clamour to sign Billy from other clubs, you watch give it another week or two and if nothing has happened JR will go in with a improved offer and probably a take it or leave it, there are other strikers out there, Leeds won't pay and i really don't think he will contemplate Burnley becauce i reckon Laws won't be there that long and where would that leave Billy.

There is 1 muppet on 1 of the forums reckons billy came back from his holiday for 1 day to sign the contract for burnley don't think the new Mrs Sharp would be too happy with that

Its not the case we didn't have the money for Shackell just that we were not prepared to pay over the odd's for him, and we were saving our money for someone else. Wink
