JR on Radio Sheff
Anybody else hear him 6 or 7 players in with a bit of luck and looking to offer Stevie Brooker some sort of "pay as you play" deal

tbh a pay as you play deal is probably a good option it allows us to keep him with no risk giving us another option, allows him to prove his fitness and get himself into the shop window if needbe

yeah, no problem with that, keeping him on that basis is not going to eat into the budget...makes me wonder though are we actually going to release anyone...i had Brooker and Sully down as certs for leaving...there certainly taking there time with it..

Suppose that leaves Souza , Webster and chambers as the ones to be released..and maybe Thomas...then theres Hird who is supposed to be on his way to Brighton if the rumours are true...

or swindon if the other rumours are true.
then there's keegan, burge, the fact is we have plenty of "fringe" players, god knows who's going to leave, time will tell, I just wish they'd bloody hurry up, haha.

Would be happy to see Keegan given a deal, as long as he is sorted injury wise...recon Burge will be on little money anyway..

I agree regarding Keegan - he played OK when he came in and that was without a pre-season behind him. I would also like us to retain Burge - again, he did really well when he went down to Oxford on loan and I think he may be one for the future.
You have to show some faith occasionally - after all if we were to judge all players on their initial showings alone then there is a good chance that George Friend would already be out the door! I personally think these two have the prospect of improving and developing further and have done nothing to suggest that they couldn't do so.
I personally think that De Sousa, Hird and Webster may be moving on and I think that Sheils, Thomas and Chambers may also make the list.

Yea i after agree with all that Upwind i would like to think though Chambers may get another chance but he has had major surgery so is now prob injury prone

Re: JR on Radio Sheff
don't get me wrong, i wasn't suggesting that keegan and burge SHOULD go, simply that outside of our best 6 or 7 players, there's plenty who COULD go, so it's going to be interesting to see what our playing staff turnover is going to be like this summer.
