Going to this one, I expect we will take a fair few more than 100 to this one.
It should be a very interesting game and may not be as 'friendly' as the name suggests. Pocket the win and let the Blunts know that normal service has once again resumed.

Doesn't look like many people are actually interested in pre-season friendlies
Maybe thats why the players aren't overly enthusiastic either

When you read Bluntmad you would think that they had the better of the game.........'rose tinted' or what.
The goal from SG was superb and overall a suprisingly good and competitive game for long periods. Oh and the company was most enjoyable.

Posted 26 Jul 2011 21:36ReportDanny Wilson's Bramall Lane bow ended in defeat as a solitary goal gave Doncaster victory on Tuesday evening.
Montgomery started his first pre-season game and Jean-Francois and Flynn made their home debuts against South Yorkshire rivals Doncaster Rovers. Trialists Kruk and McDonald were on the bench.
The first ten minutes heralded a chance apiece. Williamson shot wide for United and then Maguire blocked an effort from Gillett. The tempo was high in the early stages and it was the Blades that created the majority of chances.
A 30-yard Bogdanovic free-kick was pushed around a post by goalkeeper Woods and a Flynn corner, created by a through ball from Collins, was headed over by Williamson.
Jean-Francois was the next of the defenders to cause Doncaster problems with a neat forward ball but Bogdanovic was again kept out and on 31 minutes Montgomery handed Slew a shooting chance but Woods made another save.

The pace slowed as half-time approached and despite the Blades remaining on top, the scoreline remained blank as the players trotted off at the break.
New boy Porter and trialists Kruk and McDonald were introduced for the second half - and Flynn was switched to the right - but the first effort was a 30-yard free-kick from Maguire, which was on target but saved by Woods.
Porter was squeezed out of a chance following a mistake in the Rovers defence but with their first effort of the second half, on 73 minutes, the visitors grasped the lead. GILLETT picked up the ball 25 yards out and his powerful shot moved in the air, deceiving Simonsen.
In response, McDonald's shot was straight at substitute goalkeeper Sullivan after neat work from Lowton, who fired over the crossbar with the next effort.
Philliskirk and Flynn teamed up to create a chance but Porter could not keep his shot down and it proved to be the final chance o

Re: Sheff Utd v Donny
Please don't mock the afflicted.
However as much as they do seem to be looking at the match through 'rose tinted' glasses, it is true that they seem to have a stronger defence than last season.
However their strike force was dire and we controlled much of the game whilst making multiple substitutions...........at best they are a middle of the table outfit and I predict no higher than a 10th. position for them next season.
For us it was merely a stroll in the park. Incidentally I'm gomsmacked at the lack of numbers from the home side supporters considering that they like us could watch their players in action for little over the price of a pint!
