The Yorkshire Football Forums
Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

However, abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Please keep discussions civil. If you are not prepared to behave appropiately, please don't register. Friendly banter between rival clubs is encouraged, personal abuse towards other members will result in a permanent ban.

Some sections of this forum are restricted to members, so to enjoy the full benefits of the site please register. Registered users also enjoy this website without the advertisements at the top of the page.

THANK YOU for visiting THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE and we hope to see you posting here in the future.

Tonight in this programme about dodgy football ownership/takeovers a certain 'Barnsley Town' were mentioned and we were told we were owned by Mark Openshaw Blower. At first I was worried - as in WHO THE FCK IS THAT!?!?! AND WHERE HAS CRYNE GONE?!?!?!
But it turns out Mark Openshaw Blower is a trustee of Cryne's and it looks like he has signed everything over to him incase he gets sent down later this year so really he's just got BFC at heart. What a legend our Paddy is Smile

But what would happen if it was found that Cryne had used Dirty money so to speak to fund the football club, not sure what he actually stands accused of but it must be serious to be standing trial at the old Bailey...

The trial involves the FSA (or their new equivalent) , folk with massive fining powers...........it must be very serious. You don't mess with them and it appears somewhere along the line he may have. Cool

Not seen the programme ( out on the booze) but by what you've said there it strikes me as a typical bit of " I've got a couple of quid wheeling and dealing"

Proper programme though, seems the game is even more bent than I thought. These fookers are 'killing' our game and we're allowing it to happen!

Quite worrying, I was watching the show and we were one of the underlined clubs in the Championship. pale

Found the show on Youtube though for people who are interested who didn't see it:
