I've had a dream
Dead vivid it was. I’d arranged to meet a mate of mine in the Salutation for a pre-match drink. Problem was the last time I’d frequented the place was about a year ago when I was barred from the place by the Landlord.
It all started as a joke. I was having a bit of banter with the barmaid. I was ravishing and was looking at the food menu at the bar. Noticing me reading the menu, the barmaid said “Yes sir, what can I get you?” to which I replied “I’ll have a pork pie please”.
She gave me the pork pie and said “That’ll be £1.50 please.”
“No, I’m sorry”, I said....” but you asked me what you could get me, so I assumed you were buying it for me!”
“Don’t be silly” she said....” It was a figure of speech, just polite talk”.
I said (Jokingly) “Well you’d better get the Landlord then, I ain’t paying!”
She fetched the Landlord and after telling him the story, and before I could pay for the pie, he Barred me!
Now here I was, a year later walking into the very same pub, and who should be serving.....The very same manager who barred me.
Before I could say owt the Landlord said “Don’t I know you, didn’t I bar you about a year ago?”
I said “I’ve never been in here before in my life, mate” To which he said suspiciously “You must have a double then!”
I said “In that case I’ll have a Whisky please!”.......
Talking of doubles, my next port of call was the Keepmoat, where Rovers were attempting their first double of the season against visitors Peterborough.
In a must win game for us, Rovers players echoed this with all out attack from the start. Posh didn’t know what had hit them after Rovers had four corners in the first five minutes. It was the fourth one that gave us the lead when BAGAYOKO continued his scoring form to slide home from five yards.
Rovers to the foot off the gas shortly after, but continued to be in the driving seat for the rest of the half.
H.T Rovers 1 Posh 0
Second half began with Peterborough making a rare appearance in the Rovers half. This woke the home players up and soon they were back dictating events. Despite this they seemed happy to rest at one nil, until a great piece of skill by Deouf enabled BAGAYOKO to score his fourth goal in two games, with an easy tap into the net. (60 mins)
The game continued with Rovers impressive throughout, despite no more real threats of more goals.
Final score; Rovers 2 Peterborough 0

We'd be OK-ish if we only played for 80 minutes A kid asked me if I knew where 5 added minutes came from, unfortunately my work PC had decided to present me with the blue screen of doom at that moment so he never got an answer
