Hello and welcome to THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE.

This forum was set up on the 5th of September 2009 in order to give Yorkshire football fans a place to come and interact with fellow fans of all 10 league clubs in our county.

We operate a controlled environment, with each team having their own forum and moderator, to ensure everyone has equal rights. The main reason this forum was set up, was to allow its members the freedom to express themselves without the restraints some other 'multi-club' forums adopt.

However, abuse of other members will not be tolerated. Please keep discussions civil. If you are not prepared to behave appropiately, please don't register. Friendly banter between rival clubs is encouraged, personal abuse towards other members will result in a permanent ban.

THANK YOU for visiting THE PRIDE OF YORKSHIRE and we hope to see you posting here in the future.

Dead vivid it was. Nigel Clough, being so impressed with Doncaster’s ability for Championship survival, decided to make a trip to the Keepmoat to ask Dean Saunders for some tips. He explains to Saunders that he’s always tried to emulate Donny, and has got THREE former Rovers players in his side to confirm this.

"Well," said Saunders "My philosophy is that players need to be mentally fit as well as physically. That's why I regularly test them with IQ questions. Here I'll show you."
Saunders shouted over James Coppinger.
"James, if your father's son was not your brother then who would it be?" said Saunders.
"Well, that would be me boss!" replied the striker.
"Correct. Now get back to training." said Saunders
"That's amazing Dean. I'm going to start doing this with my players. Thanks a lot." said an over-awed Clough.

On returning to Pride Park, Clough shouted over Jason Shackell during training.
"Shacks, if your father's son was not your brother who would it be?"
"I don't know boss. Can I think about it for a minute?" replied Shackell. Clough agreed. Shackell went off and told Paul Green that he had been asked a question that he didn't know.
"That's easy" said Greeny "if he was my father's son, but not my brother, then it would be me.".
"Thanks Greeny" Shackell replied.
Shackell walked over to Nigel Clough and said: "Boss, boss, I know the answer........it's Paul Green!"
Clough shook his head and shouted "No you idiot the answer is James Coppinger!"

Next thing I was in the West stand watching the Vikettes strutting their stuff when suddenly the dream was interrupted by the wife, who woke me up because she thought there’d been a mini earth-quake. “I could have sworn that the bed was shaking”, she said. Shocked
I tried to get back to where I’d left off in the dream but to no avail. What I did get though was a glimpse of a Sunday paper detailing the Rovers v Derby result and stats.......

Rovers 3 (2) Derby 2 (0)
Diouf (3) Green (67)
Coppinger (12) Roberts (81)
Bennett (51)
Att; 10,008
